La maison était superbe, l’emplacement idéal.Tout était parfait, sans oublier les hôtes qui ont été très accueillant et à l’écoute. Ce séjour a été l’un des meilleurs que nous avons passé et avec deux enfants c’est parfois difficile de satisfaire tout le monde, mais entre le baby foot, la piscine, le canoë tout le monde a été ravi! Je ne peux que je recommander cette superbe maison!!!

Idyllisch plek met allerlei terrasjes aan de rivier bij het mooiste dorpje in de Douro

Schitterende locatie is eigenlijk een understatement voor dit ruime huis, omringd door een eigen wijngaard, idyllisch watervalletje, diverse terrassen én zelfs een privé stukje rivier—een werkelijk unieke plek. Francisco nam vooraf al contact op met tips voor restaurants, wijnhuizen, boottochten, Pinhão en bezienswaardigheden in de Douro, wat ons welkom extra bijzonder maakte. De hartelijke ontvangst en rondleiding over het domein overtroffen al onze verwachtingen. Vanuit het huis kun je heerlijk wandelen over de voetgangersbrug naar het centrum van Pinhão. Ook handig om in de ochtend broodjes te halen bij de bakker in het dorpje. Met het gezin hebben we genoten van kanoën vanaf de rivier bij het huis tot aan de Douro—een geweldige ervaring! Rondom het huis vind je allerlei zitplekken: terrasjes aan de voor- en achterkant (waar ook een tafelvoetbal staat), maar vooral het parkje beneden aan de rivier biedt volledige privacy om van het uitzicht en de rust te genieten. Extra leuk: de 20-jarige slimme schildpad waar je snel een band mee opbouwt. Werkelijk idyllisch! We hebben vanuit hier ook uitstapjes gemaakt in de Douro e.g. een wijnproeverij e.d., heel goed te doen. Als het vrij is, meteen boeken, waarschijnlijk kun je geen beter keuze maken. p.s. in de avond hoorden we allerlei "plonsen" en zagen we dat het vissen waren die in de nacht hoge sprongen maakten op de rivier. Schitterend.

− Alles was perfect. Denk eraan om voor wijnproeverijen vooraf te boeken. Je wandelt vanaf het huis makkelijk naar diverse plekken om dit te doen.

The property was beyond what we had imagined. Everything was perfect- right from the location, the rooms, the lovely living area, the kitvhen, the beautiful outdoors (and lovely seating across the property), the pool, the river (with fishes) and with personal kayaks at our disposal, the barbecue spot, the cherry and orange trees for us to pluck and eat and the stunning views. Every little thing added to the charm. As someone who’s travelled quite a bit, I can honestly say this was one of the best homes we have ever stayed in. What made it even more special was our amazing host, Francisco. His warmth and constant support really made us feel at home. Thank you, Francisco – you have created something truly special. We hope to be back again soon. It was a fantastic experience and we’re going back with unforgettable memories.

No better place to stay.

The most amazing place to stay. We were four couples and had plenty of room to spread out. The home was clean and tidy. The host was great met us not the home and showed us everything we needed to know. Kayaks were available to use on the river right beside the house. The host above and beyond in making our stay great, arranging for a birthday cake to be made and delivered on my wifes birthday. Overall a perfect place to stay and Pinhao is a wonderful place to visit.
