Nice standalone cottage behind a motel.
8.0Nice cottage but not an ideal location. Good for larger group or family.
− Wish it was closer to City Center but it worked.
Thank you ☺️
10.0Spotlessly clean and very comfortable
− Nothing
OK for the night
5.0Good facilities not attached to the hotel making it a quiet, location and liked the fact it had a self contained garden area. Was only here for one night to break up our journey home from the Highlands. Good base for Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel.
− Bedding was not clean and had to be changed through reception. Cottage smelt musky/or smoke on arrival but went after doors and windows open for a short time.
Goede doorreisbestemming in aangename cottage
8.0Comfortabel appartement (alles aanwezig) Vriendelijke host aan receptie
Poor value for money
3.0− So whilst traveling home from the highlands we had booked this property for one night. 4 adults and 3 dogs and made it clear on the booking we had dogs but they weren’t forthcoming with any extra charges but having paid £350 for one night we figured there wouldn’t be any more to pay. Upon arrival we waited 5 minutes for the receptionist to return from her cigarette, we were asked if we wanted breakfast in the hotel which we didn’t and that was that. What upset us was the bolshy ‘receptionist’ came to the cottage just as we were carrying bags in and all she was going on about was that we had dogs and they’re charged at £10 per dog per night. (We later challenged this as the info book stated £7.50). On entering the cottage the kitchen, lounge and dining areas are modern with a nice look about them, however the bedrooms and bathrooms are very sterile. Water pressure wasn’t consistent in both the kitchen and bathrooms. We think that the hotel is perhaps short on staff which we noticed with the poor level of cleanliness; stained bedsheets, dust, crumbs in the sofa and a discarded vape on top of the wardrobe. Having said all this the property is situated next to the battlefield of bannockburn. The cottage backs on to the hotels smoking area so if you don’t mind the smell of cigarettes you’ll be just fine. On checking out all the receptionist was bothered about was the charge for dogs, no pleasantries, no thank yous. Needless to say we won’t be returning.
