3.0Lovely location. Good size for a family. Out in the country
− Unfortunately the owner spoilt it. Initially she seemed a nice lady, however there was a misunderstanding over me plugging my car into her electrics. This is a perfectly normal and usual thing to do that would have cost less and used less electricity than using a single electric heater and is perfectly safe if her house met all legal requirements for electrics. On trying to explain this and that there was nothing in the agreement saying that we could not plug certain appliances into her sockets (!) she became very unpleasant to the point where I had to offer to leave. (She actually said she ‘did not care’ about the difficulty she was putting us in! Which I found rather unusual a response for someone who has paid £800 for a 4night stay. No effort was made to remedy the situation and the agency who was renting out on her behalf have not contacted me either (either during or after the stay) to resolve this, hence the feedback To be clear, a better outcome for this misunderstanding could have come from either agreeing to the lack of specificity on the listing, an apology for the way we were spoken to, or at least her listening to another point of view. We were made to feel like criminals / that we were doing something dangerous - which is absurd… note I am an engineer working for the car company who designed this electric vehicle.
