The view was absolutely incredible, the house itself is very comfortable with everything you need. Fish tanks and turtle tank a very cool touch. Jess is so friendly, even though I never met her. Chatted to her on the phone and via sms. We had such a good time with the kids a good break from the stress of work.

− There were a lot of flies, which I just want to make clear is not the unit, i suppose more to do with the livestock in fields. I would honestly still go back in a heartbeat. Definitely would like to try Mooi Hill again in winter months. Flies might be hibernating.

A beautiful homie home, well organized with a book for tips on how to, with beautiful fish. Nice a quiet with an awesome view. Definitely worth it and if I have any other function that side, I am definitely booking again❤️. Wonderful. 👌🏽

− Wifi gave us an issue on the day of arrival, but that seemed like a network issue and not something that can be controlled. It was working fine though for the remainder of the trip.

Surroundings very peaceful. Beds comfortable. Kitchen very well stocked with dishes & gadgets. Fish & turtle tanks -lovely sight

− Microwave stopped working on The morning of the 23rd. Reported to host-nothing done the duration of our stay. On the booking site didn't state accommodation had 2 rooms upstairs. Had my elderly mum & aunt with me.They used the room downstairs, but couldn't shower the duration of our stay.Had a bath in their en-suite, that they couldn't climb into.They were also unable to climb the stairs to use the shower upstairs . Cobwebs & spiders in the corner above tub in main room,& around all light fittings & ceilings upstairs . Didn't find the noise of water in the fish & turtle tanks soothing at night.Too loud

Location is good. Great scenery.

− The bubbling of the water in the fish tanks is disturbing when trying to sleep or watch t.v. The bottom bathroom had no water. The bedding had a distinct odor of dogs. This was NOT a holiday home. It was a family home. Their stuff was everywhere, from clothing to toys to groceries and fridge and freezer stuff. It was definitely what we expected.

We checked in after hours making it a bit more challenging. Hosts were lovely with their communication and answered calls during a school event which was appreciated.

− Area as all others is understandably affected by loadshedding. Would have loved to see a back up plan to ensure hot water and water for the duration of the stay. We had no showers as we were out every day the whole day and only arrived home during loadshedding periods. Also emergency lamps would have been a nice to have. We used candles kindly provided by the hosts but they tend to be a little messy carrying around without proper candle holders.
