Great property in a great location in a lovely part of the world
10.0Great location, easily park three large suvs. All the bedrooms were well appointed ideal a large get of couples.
− Nice house however some of the furniture would benefit from an upgrade.
Lovely weekend with friends, super location.
8.0The views from the top room and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The property was very spacious.
− Heating on ready for arrival.
Excellent little hideaway
10.0The top floor, which our 6 kids used as their play den every night which allowed us adult's some downtime.
− It could have done with a TV on the top floor for the kids' movies. However, they played games and used tablets that were connected with the house internet connection, so not a big issue.
Lovely holiday had by Family, but lighting and cleanliness could be improved.
6.0Had to tel Agent for keys for Annex Basement Flat, as not mentioned in welcome pack. Luckily just caught Agent before closing and given location of Key, having guests staying in Annex Flat as well as House.
− Cleanliness, there was a terrible smell coming from behind Fridge/Larder area that got worse all week, 4 of us could not locate. The Front door light and outside side lights were not working, making it dangerous going outside at night.
Great location, great cottage, could be cleaner
6.0The location of the property is fantastic, with short walks to the beach, cafes and other local amenities. The property is also a wonderful size for a group holiday and the views, especially from the attic room, are spectacular.
− The property itself is in need of being updated. It is clear that the property hasn’t been decorated for some years and some of the furnishings need to be replaced. However, our main concern with the property is the cleanliness. In particular, the kitchen did not meet satisfactory standards. Our biggest concern was that we found nuts in the kitchen. Two of our party have severe nut allergies, which meant we had to thoroughly clean anything we used. We feel this needs to be addressed for future guests with food allergies. Many of the utensils etc were also visibly dirty when we got them out to cook with and the kitchen itself needs a deep clean. In particular, the kitchen bin was thick with food remnants and there was an odour coming from it. Whilst the other rooms were cleaner, unfortunately many of our party found rubbish in their rooms (sweet wrappers, cotton buds and sanitary wrappers). If we were to stay at this property again, we need to be assured that something had been done to improved the standards
