Awesome weekend, we will be back.
10.0Comfortable, spacious and well equip.
− Nothing at all, it exceeded our expectations.
Gem with extremely rough edges and lying hosts - DO NOT BOOK
1.0It had a nice old world charm
− When we arrived we were quickly handed keys and had to navigate a very dodgy self made bridge to enter the property. I had asked our host via message that evening where the washing machine was and she only replied the next morning, just to inform me that it had been stolen a while back. She specifically advertised the property to have a washing machine available and from the photos uploaded there is no other appliance other than those portrayed and also no other point to connect the washing machine with. So there was never a washing machine to begin with which is false advertising. I also informed her that the plug to the lamp in the living room electrocuted me as there was 2 wires open and exposed at the base of the plug. Not once did she apologize or even acknowledge that I got injured. They can be very very grateful that my 2 small children did not touch that because they could have been seriously hurt! The garden was in a state as well with long grass. The area felt very unsafe and we had to listen to the drunk rowdy locals partying the night away. I have stayed at another guesthouse in Nieu- Bethesda before and it was lovely. This was NOT. If I knew all this I would never have booked there. It was truly not a good stay and I expect to be refunded - Which the hosts are yet still to do
A lovely period house spoilt by owner disinterest and needing maintenance. Not value for money.
4.0House has olde world charm. Good location, able to walk to places of interest. Linen clean and beds comfy
− Car gate could not be opened wide enough to fit vehicle through. Gates wont open due to ground buildup. Carpets/carpet runners were dirty. 3 bathmats in bathroom were dirty. Shower floor was not clean. Some surfaces dusty and floors unswept. (supervision?) Large heavy inner wooden shutter in main bedroom fell on one of the guests as she attempted to close it. Fortunately she was not seriously hurt. Same shutter had been secured with nails and not screws and rawl bolts Except for second shelf, freezer section unusable due to ice build up. (supervision?) Outside rubbish bin had not been emptied prior to our arrival. (supervision?)
A place where you could find yourself again.
8.0I enjoyed the spacious, clean and nostalgic cottage.
− Secured parking.
