Lovely house in a stunning place
9.0This is a really lovely house, owned by one of the friendliest couples I've ever met. They met us, showed us round and generally couldn't have been more helpful. The house is well equipped, with everything you're likely to need for self-catering including decent kitchen knives 😊 The hen harriers hunting outside the house and the lovely view added an extra bonus.
− The only downside is the height of the hob extractor - designed for someone about 5 ft 3, so it's just the wrong height for taller people and we had a number of banged heads over the week. A small price to pay?

10.0The house has beautiful views over the bay. The furnishings are top quality, the kitchen well equipped. The hosts are wonderful and live next door to sort out any problems. Highly recommended.
− Wifi was a bit slow. And I would mention the driveway up to the house in the listing. It is navigable in an ordinary car but we were happy in our 4 wheel drive. However, once you're on Islay - you really do want a 4 wheel drive to properly explore.
