The space for the kids but also space for the parents. Beach around the corner very private very few people. Very cool. Also ocean shores not to far if you like the crowd and vehicle access.

− Worst part was probably not having phone service when we arrived to pull up the access code to get in.

If we would have known exactly what we were getting into we would NOT have. A waste of time & money.

We liked the comfort of the 2 beds(they had a soft topper on them), however the bedding was dirty and not as in stains, it hadn't been washed and it was filthy, like the rest of the house. We liked the fact it had 3 bathrooms, but they were dirty(one backed up randomly). It had toilet paper. We liked being able to walk to the beach, but some of the neighbors seemed sketchy.

− It smelled awful, it was very dirty, the bedding and extra bedding/blankets were dirty and in shambles. The couches were broke down and very uncomfortable. The kitchen was missing very basic things, like salt. It was miss advertised, for example one of the beds was in a closet and you could only get on it from the top. The key entry stopped working part way through our stay. The neighborhood is questionable at best. Some of the windows didn't work properly and didn't have screens. The yard was not only way overgrown, it had a stack of wood with nails sticking out in it and rusty old metal things. It had a gate but was broken clear off and had been for quite some time by the looks of it. There was not any cans or any type of trash receptacles. The hot water literally burnt my hand, it was also tricky to adjust and that made it a safety issue trying to shower or even simple wash your hands. The shower floors were nasty and extremely slick. There were no chairs on the deck to sit on, we had to fix the bar stools, they had screws coming out and they weren't safe. The backdoor knob is loose and about ready to fall off. The clothes dryer makes a very loud noise and doesn't work properly. The kitchen lights had bulbs burnt out. All the carpeting was filthy and stained. The handrail on the stairs was missing a piece that could be considered an impaling hazard. the "Rec" Room" had what looked like curtains attached to the ceiling to make it a bedroom I'm assuming. Although only 1 curtain was hanging there upon our arrival. the other "Bedroom" with the bunkbeds was made into a room by placing a wardrobe closet to divide it from the Rec Room. For the money that was charged we expected a little more. Bottom line...the owners should consider investing some of the money they receive from renters back in to the property so it has more of the appeal shown on the listing.
