A beautiful location just a short walk from the centre of Barnard Castle
9.0Location was excellent with lovely view over the river Tees & Castle & just a short walk from the centre, although some road noise in the front bedroom it didn't detract from our stay. We would stay there again
− A small issue with the cold tap & fixing of part of shower in bathroom need attention but has been reported to the owner

9.0Great view and location. Spacious, comfortable house. Good communication with host.
− Just about perfect. It would have been nice to have had tea, coffee and milk provided as shops a little way up the hill ( and we were walking) but this is small point.

10.0The Property is immaculately clean had everything we needed in the kitchen well positioned to walk into Barnard Castle We were there for my daughter’s 60th birthday who is a Local? We just wish we hadn’t had to leave so quickly at 10 o’clock we wanted to leave the place how we found it we had late night. And found it difficult checking out for this time. I left my phone charger and have to go back at 11:30. Fortunately we got to get it was a shame as there was no hurry to have – the way we did without a cup of tea, otherwise Property is absolutely perfect if you can put up with a noise from traffic in one of the front bedrooms I would definitely stay there again as problems I mentioned our minor in comparison to what we paid and how comfortable we were thank you

10.0The house was absolutely stunning and perfect for our needs. The decor was lovely and modern and it was so well equipped with everything you could need! Towels, toilet roll, shower gels, tea, coffee, etc. All communications with the owner were excellent and I was so grateful we were allowed to check out a little later, for my 88 year old mother! All in all, a lovely stay in the most beautiful location!
− I wouldn't say there was anything we 'didn't like' as such. The only little thing to mention was that we really struggled with the taps in the bathroom. The water flow was just a trickle at times.
A charming house in a fabulous location, missing a few things to make it exceptional.
8.0The location is fabulous, right by the river, with wonderful views of the castle and the bridge. The house has character, with old stone and quirky stairs. But is also warm and has a modern kitchen and bathroom. The host was quick to respond to all our needs.
− A few practical items are missing, and the dining chairs are not as comfortable as they might be.
