Quiet and convenient. A comfortable and pleasant stay.

Very convenient situation, less than 10 minutes walk into Church Stretton centre. Very quiet location. Comfortable seating, plenty of space. A lovely cool haven in the heat wave! Adequately equipped. Bed was reasonably comfortable, though perhaps a bit soft. Excellent shower. All nice and clean. Sarah, our host, was quick to respond to an initial problem with the TV.

Perhaps some of the paintwork especially the skirting boards could have been in better condition. The bottom sheet on the bed wasn’t quite big enough and kept coming untucked. But these are minor faults and didn’t detract from our stay.

The property is in an excellent location and in a quiet spot. It was clean and tidy. The owners were very kind - and the flapjacks on arrival were a lovely touch!

We found the bed uncomfortable. A cafetière would have been welcome

Great and very quiet location. Flat needs a little bit of TLC

Great location, near the town, but on a quiet residential street, less than 5 minutes from the station and high street if you use the footpath. Turn left onto the road and then use the path entrance a few houses (next to number 54) down on the left. A bit overgrown near the top, but improves as you get near the town itself. Comes out by the Co-op or the main food pub (Kings Arms) if you carry on a further section of the path The Kings Arms does great food (but not Sunday after 6pm). The flat is very spacious, large lounge / diner with a decent sized TV, 2 good sofas and nice 4 chair dining table. The kitchen is good, the water always hot and good pressure. The shower in the bathroom is strong, despite appearances. The double bed is comfortable. Very quiet outside at night. We slept well. If you are hikers / walkers, there is a very handy shuttle bus that runs only at the weekend, but will get you as far as Stiperstones. Leaflets at the tourist office.

Not enough pans for self catering. At least 1 more saucepan needed and possibly a small caserole dish could be useful. A drying rack for towels or wet clothes would be also useful. The small towel rail in the bathroom was hanging off the wall and only held one towel. In fact the bathroom needs more shelving / over the door hooks / a shower caddy for shampoo / shower gel and a toilet roll holder. The entire flat would benefit from a thorough deep clean. The bedroom had huge built in wardrobes and a high up shelf, but it needed dusting / cleaning before use. Lots of hanging space though. A hanging caddy may be useful.
