Morchella is a lovely traditional house in Megalo Chorio, with a beautiful garden and mountain views. The apartment has two bedrooms, a small living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom/shower. Elena was an excellent host, she reached out multiple times before and during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and generously offered suggestions for activities and information about the area. Finding the house was a little difficult at first, but Elena immediately sent her father to direct us to the entrance. We were received warmly, assisted with our luggage and even given some fresh homemade cake and ouzo. The village and the surrounding area are beautiful, a perfect place to spend a week in August. Thank you Elena (and your family :) for an unforgettable stay!

A beautiful house in one of the most beautiful villages in Greece.

During our trip we stayed in 10 different accommodations around Greece, all very beautiful, but I think this one may have been our favorite. The house, the village, and the scenery were all incredible. The house is an authentic historical village house nestled into the hill looking out over the most incredible view of the village below and the mountain peaks above. It's surrounded by its gardens which are traditional farming terraces full of produce. From laying in the bed there is a view towards the mountain peaks and you could easily think you were in the Swiss alps. Although the village is quiet, it's very well kept, and incredibly authentic with most of its population still making their living from the land and their local products. And the people in the village were the nicest people we met in all of Greece. Everyone we met in the village was happy to see us and excited to talk with us, we immediately felt at home. Also the hiking trails from the house are incredible! Right from the property you can hike on beautifully maintained trails straight into the high mountains which connect to hundreds of other trails through the mountain range, so really it's a paradise for hikers, mountaineers, and nature lovers. There are also many swimming spots in rivers and waterfalls that you can access nearby. This stay is the perfect place to experience the real authentic Greece that hasn't yet been over saturated with tourists.

It was traditional house, clean, cosy, spatious, comfortable and it had all what we needed! We could relax, enjoy the amazing view and also cook foos. We traveled with our 3 year old son and we all enjoyed it!
