We loved the property, deck, view, BBQ, spacious

− Booking via Bookings.com, I should have booked directly with Lifestyle. The overpromise of Full Linen, no towels, bathroom supplies or tea towels were left out. Simple comforts were left missing or had to search for, no information at the property.

We were happy with our stay.

Location was really good. The house was lovely. Well equipped. Loved that it had modern fittings. Decor was pretty. Beautiful timber floors and rugs gave a homey feel to the house

− Mattress toppers on all beds would be a huge improvement. Also bedside tables way too small to be really functional. Would have loved another bathroom.

A home away from home

The view and location was amazing. The deck and garden and trampoline were well used. The accommodation had mostly everything you would need in terms of cooking & household items. We kept finding little extras that helped make it feel more like "a home away from home".

− The situation regarding not supplying sheets was unexpected and not advertised upfront. Only a couple weeks before arrival was the first indication that we would need to bring our own sheets or hire from a local supplier. The bedding make-up in the images gives one the impression that you turn up with just your clothes and a few groceries. Also the 3rd bedroom (sunroom with bunk beds) gets VERY hot during the middle of the day and ICY cold in the early morning. A solution to better control the temperature in this room would be a suggestion i.e. a single cooling/heating aircon on the wall or thick blackout blinds. Alternatively, double glazing could also help. Some small token or travel size soap/shampoo/body wash would be appreciated for people who forget or cannot get to a shop if they arrive later than expected. Also customer service from Elders/Booking.com was non-existent when I tried to get in touch with them a long time ago to slightly alter the dates. Gave up trying. The only communication from them was one-sided messages that came through the Booking.com app

− advert didn’t say you need to take linen supplies etc advert did not say 9am checkout outdoor rubbish bin stunk and full of maggots empty eggshells in egg carton did not answer my request to have a boat but quick to auto email terms and conditions dishwasher not emptied on arrival windows dusty and dirty
