Not only a house, it was an experience!

It was not only a house, but a great experience of Italy and its countryside. The layout of the house was great (two houses were divided into private apartments with separate entrances), offering a lot of privacy for everyone and also ample of room to spend time together (especially pool area and dining area) with our family of 20. We liked everything about the house. We took advantage of games area, grill and pizza oven. I took time to paint and it was so easy to find motifs everywhere - the surrounding landscapes changed hourly, the blossoming garden gave a lot of inspiration. We visited in April and the huge blooming visteria was crazy beautiful. The calm countryside is so beautiful, nearby small town Poppy was cute and held some events and had everything we needed. We also used the services of chef Gabriele - it was a great experience held by him and great taste, thank you! Most of our family reported the house being the best experience of this trip to Italy. We are waiting to go back many times to come.

Das Anwesen ist einfach wunderschön & wir hatten eine mega Zeit dort. Es hat an nichts gefehlt - viel Platz, Pool, Garten, Poppi fußläufig in 15 min erreichbar, tolle Gastgeber! DANKE Nicola!

Wunderschönes Haus in eine traumhafte Landschaft, ruhig , grün und typisch Toskana. Das Haus hat das alte typische Landhaus style behalten und wurde mit sehr viel Geschmack und liebevoller Details ausgestattet

Ein wunderschönes Gelände mit zwei Häusern, traumhaftem Pool und gepflegtem Außenbereich. Die vier Apartments sind mit Küche und Bad ausgestattet, davon 3 mit Kinderzimmern. Die Einrichtung ist typisch toskanisch gestaltet, antiquierte Möbel und Dekoration, sehr gemütlich. Die Betreuung durch Nicola funktioniert super, er hat sich sehr gut gekümmert.

− Die Hauptküche am grossen Esszimmer ist sehr klein, für grosse Gruppen wäre es sinnvoll, diese zu öffnen und zu vergrößern.

Beautiful grounds in a lovely setting but some issues

The outside of Podere Cerretino is absolutely lovely. The gardens are fabulous with flowers and beautiful old trees everywhere. So unusual for a holiday property. The pool area is also one of the nicest we have ever had, with great views and lots of good quality sun loungers and umbrellas. The gorgeous salt water pool was cleaned regularly during our two-week stay so it was always spotless. There is lots of parking and the place feels very secure and safe. Sprinkers come on in the night which keeps the lawns lovely and green, even in the heat. The traditional decor of the rooms is charming, and it is great to have separate apartments for each group so each can have quiet time when needed or join in the fun when appropriate. Our two families with babies particularly appreciated this. It is also useful to have the separate well-equipped laundry room. Nicola and his father couldn't have been more helpful or responsive.

− The main kitchen in the communal area is very small for cooking for large groups and lacks basic things like scissors, tea towels and oven gloves (although Nicola did provide tea towels when we asked for them, they really should have been provided from the beginning), and there are lots of plates and large bowls but not really any serving plates or small bowls. The main dining room gets very hot, even with all the windows open, but there isn't really any other option as the only outdoor table is too far away to carry everything up there (we only used it for drinks). The temperature was in the 30s during our stay and we all found it hard to sleep. We asked for fans which Nicola immediately provided. This helped somewhat but a few of the rooms have very bright lamps outside which stay on all night and mean you have to close the shutters to make it dark, so it gets very very stuffy in those bedrooms. The wifi is weak and patchy.
