The position is very convenient, 15 min away from the sea. Ideal for families who love a real rural experience. The veggie garden, the chickens, the cats, the cozy terrace with view to the Etna volcano, just wonderful. Mr Salvatore is very attentive and available for any need. The garden needs to be taken care of daily, but privacy is guaranteed even when major interventions are needed, as you can easily agree on time slots. A beautiful and peaceful spot on Sicily.

Wonderful sicilian vacation away from the busy cities

We stayed in Salvatore's house for nine days. It was very comfortable. The interior is more like a home and less like a hotel. We especially appreciated the washing machine (we did a lot of excursions and with the heat and all the volcanic ash your clothes get dirty fast). The pool is spotless and great since the beaches are about 20 minutes by car, and you can swim privately. A little diesel train track runs by the house (1 train every day, and it does not make much noise), which was very cool. The house is on a little farm, just outside the village. Salvatore invited us to pick some tomatoes as needed. He also brought some wine, vegetables and fruit so we could not have eaten better. The location is perfect for visiting east Sicily, but you need a car. There are good bars and restaurants (cheap compared to northern EU) within walking distance, or you can cook in the big kitchen/BBQ outside the house. Salvatore is the Italian dad you never thought you needed. He is kind and welcoming and tries his best to make you feel welcome.
