Exceptional

Very nice large house and garden. Real Hanok experience. We enjoyed sleeping on the floor with heated floors. A lot of decoration details. Very communicative guest.

You need a car to go around and have diner outside.

A wonderful traditional Korean home. One of my most peaceful mornings ever.

I liked how this is a real home built for a member of this small farming community. It felt like a privilege to stay here. While there were limited modern or Western comforts (I was way too tall for the doorways and hit my head multiple times), we chose to stay here to have a traditional Korean experience and adapted out expectations accordingly. The host was very friendly and helpful. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. We woke up to the sound of birds.

It would have been helpful to have more instructions for use of the house (cooking appliances, sleeping mats, bathroom, etc.) translated into multiple languages. As an American, I do not know how to use many of the Korean-style utilities, but I am excited to learn. For example, we used the rice cooker, but needed to google the instructions as they cooker controls were all in Korean.

Great property if you want the authentic Korean experience.

The location was awesome and I felt like I was staying in real Korea. The house was the host's grandfather's house from 100 years ago. The host also gave us a complimentary bottle of wine, which was much appreciated.

The only complaint I have is that the location was hard to find; however, the host met us at a central location and we were able to follow them to the house.
