Lovely Bora Castle
10.0Private cottage with generous space inside. Beautiful view over the water and mountains. The heatpump kept us warm all nights. Spotlessly clean!
− Could do with an oven :) but that’s no issue at all for a short stay.

Störungsfreuer Aufenthalt mit viel Ruhe - und Paddeln.
9.0Tolle Lage, Ausstattung der Wohnung i.O., zwei mit Tür schließbare Schlafzimmer mit jeweils einem (allerdings sehr kleinen) Bad. Zusätzlich Außentischgruppe. Ganz toll war die jederzeit mögliche Benutzbarkeit der drei Boote im Schuppen, die man (gemeinsam) rund 100 m zum Strand tragen muss und dort dann startet ins sehr niedrige ruhige Wasser im Sound, geeignet auch für Anfänger. Gutes ital. Restauarnt direkt im Hafen von Havelock mit sehr guten Muschelen ist sehr zu empfehlen, eher als das Lokal an der Durchgangsstraße. Lokales Museum mit Reminiszenz z.B. auf Physiker Rutherford, der hier zeitweise aufwuchs, ist recht nett. Damit hat sich dann auch in Havelock.
− Ein vergleichsweise früher Ablauf der kostenlosen Stornofrist behindert eine Änderung der Reisepläne, wenn z.B. wegen Schlechtwetterlage die Anfahrt mit der Fähre von der Nordinsel in Frage gestellt sein sollte.

10.0Well designed and appointed, comfortable space for two couples, lots of natural lighting. Convenient location for day trips and exploring in Havelock. Access to the kayaks a plus!

10.0What a fantastic property. I stay in a lot of these types of places and this could be the best one ever. The house is really well designed and thoughtfully kitted out with everything we needed for our stay. The bed is super comfy, there is plenty of storage and plenty of floor space. It was super clean and beautifully presented. The view is to die for - absolutely stunning and ever changing. It is a short walk into town where we enjoyed the local pub, cafes and shops. We had a visit from a very friendly cat which for me is always a bonus.
− There is a bit of road noise at night. Not enough to wake me up, but if I was awake I could definitely hear larger trucks.
