Beautiful apartment in good location.
8.0We stayed two weeks while we traveled the main island. We traveled with rental car. Lot of free parking places near the apartment. Location was good, just a quick boat trip to Valletta.
− Maybe not the most suitable for the families with small children. Lot of steep stairs and no high chair or a bed for a baby. There were renovation works just next door that made lot of noise.

9.0The location was absolutely brilliant, such a beautiful neighbourhood and very convenient location for the sea taxi to valletta as well. Alfred provided extremely helpful and thoughtful advice and instructions about the house, and checked up on us during our stay. The house itself is stunning - we stayed over christmas for a fortnight so the heaters provided were very useful too! the kitchen appliances (stove, oven, coffee maker, microwave, large fridge etc) worked perfectly and were great for a long stay over the holiday period when fewer shops were open.
− the quality of the bedding could be improved/upgraded - particularly the pillows and sheets.

9.0We enjoyed our stay here, plenty of character, all appliances worked well, 1min walk to small corner shop for milk/bread etc, great location- short downhill walk to Valletta ferry and 5mins to bus stops. We walked to Victory Square in Birgu center for drinks/food when relaxing locally, also Kalkara Creek a pleasant harbour 15mins walk, we also swam at Rinella Bay which was a little further on. Alfred gave good information for property location, and there was an info pack at property. Roof terrace caught sun all day too.
− Nothing to complain about. Some renovation work next door but in Malta there is construction work everywhere.
Lovely, enjoyable stay.
9.0Lovely to have an entire house. A little precarious on the stairs, buts it’s an old stone building so I cannot complain.
− One bedroom was very light in the mornings due to a sky light over the bed area.
A great location for our needs, a house steeped in history which transports you back in time.
10.0From the moment you open the doors you a thrown back in time, the house is exactly as described - full of character full of charm. It looks almost untouched from the 17th Century (thankfully it is though). Stone stairs lead up one, two three floors. First to the main largest room that faces the front, kept cool partially because the windows and shutters and its closeness to the shade from the house opposite, but mainly from the fan and AC. Plenty of space for everything you bring. Then to the second floor, the lighter airy bedroom with a doorless en-suite. Again, large enough. This room is very bright and has a skylight that cannot be covered. Onwards to the rooftop, where you can sit in the sun all day (if you want, but why?) between the ground floor and the first room there is a little lounge with plenty of seating and a large TV on the wall opposite. Beyond the internal courtyard you step into from the main door, is the kitchen. The kitchen has ample tea, coffee, sugar, oil spices, so before you pop to the shop take a look as you wont need much. Everything we used worked - coffee maker, kettle, iron, washer and dryer etc. There is plenty of bath towels too. Some things were worn (as you'd expect) but it all worked. Would stay again and again until we are unable to climb the stairs. On that note the stone stairs have worn unevenly over 100s of years so care is needed, this goes for inside the house as well as in the streets around. The house is situated amongst locals which is really nice and its a ten minute downhill walk to the ferry over to Valetta. One last thing, the area is very clean.
− During our stay (mid July 2025) there was building going on near by. It didn't start too early though.
We felt immersed in Malta.
10.0Authentic stone house, tall & narrow with ancient atrium & vestibule, spacious private bedrooms, sociable kitchen.
− We would have liked some history of the house.
