8.0The room looked the same as the photos and was very comfortable. The hosts were very sweet and sometimes delivered treats to us! Despite being right on a busy road, inside the room was quiet so we had no trouble sleeping. It was only a 15 min walk to the beach. The hosts on-site didn't speak English, but when needed, they could call their daughter, and she spoke very good English and would relay our message to her Dad. There are several restaurants, mostly specializing in seafood, very nearby. We found 1 that was willing to make us vegetarian dinner. The hosts also offered to take us to our next booking, about 20 mins away, which was so very kind!
− Although we did indeed find 1 nearby restaurant willing to make a vegetarian dinner, it was the same "fried rice with vegetables and egg", every night. The vegetable quotient was minimal. Mostly we ate fried rice with egg every night, which was acceptable, but tedious. Most guests won't have that problem Cleanliness was not great. The room, and especially the bathroom, could use some "deep" cleaning to remove built-up scum and mold. The shower drain wouldn't drain when we arrived. We cleaned out a huge wad of hair from the drain - yuck!- and then it drained fine. We also had many, many tiny ants all over the bathroom sink and counter when we arrived. I scrubbed the sink, and especially the counter, including behind the sink, and the ants went away-- nothing left for them to eat once everything was clean.
