Wonderful traditional house within the medieval city walls
10.0The most generous host we've ever come across! Rafael provided everything we could possibly have needed or wanted. The house is big, located within the city walls, and like a carefully nurtured time capsule of Portuguese life 60 years ago (except with mod cons!) There are different sitting areas in the spacious backyard, where we sat for our meals. We were centrally located to explore this amazing town and walked everywhere, including a circumnavigation on the town walls. We loved everything and wouldn't hesitate to visit Rafael again if we return to Obidos.

10.0We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Óbidos, and Rafael was an exceptional host from beginning to end. The house is beautiful, spacious, and perfectly located right in the center of town, allowing us to fully experience the charm and atmosphere of Óbidos. Rafael truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. He gave us excellent recommendations for local restaurants, which helped us discover some amazing food, and he even brought food for us to enjoy at the house — such a thoughtful and generous gesture that made us feel incredibly welcome. The home itself was full of character, very clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after exploring the town. One of our favorite parts was the large backyard garden area, where we could sit in the morning with coffee and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. It added so much to the experience and made the stay feel warm and personal rather than just another accommodation. You can really feel the care and hospitality Rafael puts into hosting. Staying in this historic home inside Óbidos was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal, and we would absolutely stay there again. Highly recommended.

10.0Het contact met Rafael! Het was duidelijk dat hij er alles aan deed om het zijn gasten naar de zin te maken. Hij haalde ons op van het busstation en bracht ons ook weer weg. Verder vertelde hij mooie verhalen over het prachtige huis en hij had van alles in huis gehaald voor het ontbijt. We hebben genoten van de tuin en het mooie stadje. De locatie was perfect.
− Er was geen afwasmachine, maar dat vonden wij geen probleem.
