Lovely apartment in a convenient spot for both beach and town.

Very nice apartment with everything we needed. Kitchen well equipped, and always useful to know in advance - which we did - that things like cleaning equipment/condiments/tea/coffee/ sugar etc., were supplied. Lovely view over the park towards the church and plenty of free parking at the front of the property. We had never been to Hythe before (or indeed Kent in general) and loved it. A really delightful little town with a bustling (car-free) high street, packed with independent shops and restaurants. The Military canal is beautiful (so much nicer than the word "canal" usually conjures up) with lovely over-hanging trees and lots of benches for just sitting and chilling. The tree-lined cut through via "Ladies Walk" from the apartment to the canal and over the bridge into the High Street was really nice and only took about 15 minutes. We ate at Azzur Italian restaurant on our first evening, which we had booked in advance and was very nice. Just as well, as although it was a Wednesday evening, it was packed when we got there and wouldn't have got a table. We also ate at The Sunshine Mezze/BBQ Turkish restaurant on the Saturday evening. I had booked this the night before over the phone, so was a bit disappointed when we got there, that they had obviously over-booked. Especially as it was only 7pm, so still quite early. I got the impression that there had been several walk-ins who hadn't been turned away, even though they were obviously fully booked. The meal, when it eventually arrived, was very good, but again it took forever to get the bill, as the staff were so over-stretched and it all looked a bit disorganised. I would certainly recommend the food, but try to go during the week, would be my advice - and go early! We had chosen Hythe to stay as we had a booking for Port Lympne.

I really only have one small gripe, which is that I really don't like down duvets and pillows. The duvets are so heavy and noisy (crackly?) and the pillows very squashy but with no substance. I'm sure they were very good quality ones, but much prefer a polyester filling which you don't have to fight with! That aside I really couldn't fault anything. We had a lovely stay and the apartment was in the perfect spot for both an enjoyable walk into town and a stroll along the promenade.

Gute Lage Geräumige Wohnung mit schönem Ausblick auf einen Park. Restaurants fussläufig, schöner Kiesstrand. Alles da, was man braucht.

Badezimmer und die Küchenzeile könnten ein update vertragen, die Armaturen waren sehr verkalkt.
