− The damp smell throughout, plug in air fresheners everywhere! Dirty cooker, full bins right outside the front window, blood on the threshold, junior cutlery.
Clean little place, but very poor communication with host
4.0Beds were comfortable, and easy access in to the property, generally clean and nice garden furniture
− communication! it was very stressful not to be able to speak to your host. we emailed more than once can we SPEAK to someone, as there was an issue with the hot tub, but it was ignored. We woke up to no electricity, heating, lighting or Wi-Fi and had to call booking.com as host did not answer and we had no Wi-Fi to email!! we ended up Going out to buy some data to try communicate with the host and ended up having technicians in, maintenance in. It felt very intrusive for our short well needed get away, we know these things happen, but there was no apology! my friend was in tears and wanted to go home, but booking.com asked us to try wait it out until it is resolved. also parking is on the street, not on site, next to a shop which means if someone is shopping you may have to park further away which is annoying when having to pack or unpack the car. There was only one hand towel to use in the whole property. The carpet was loose, a hazard. Would not call it a luxury place, rather quite basic, not much place to hang clothes, no pamper or welcome pack, no information leaflets, very little instructions, especially on how to use the hot tub.
Illegal activity in the property (bypassed utility meters).
3.0− The electricity tripped because of a fault with the grill and we had no access to the fuse board (locked in a cellar). The gas and electricity meters had been illegally tampered with and British Gas had to make repairs whilst we were in the property. We had several hours without any electricity supply.

8.0Location because it was close to family, close to a convenience store and close to bus stops. House was clean and kitchen had lots of freezer and fridge space and a decent cooker.
