− Les chiens des voisins qui aboient du matin au soir. Le chien de la maison de droite est seul dans la cour à partir de 8 heures et hurle à la mort jusqu'au soir. Dans la maison de gauche, un chien reste toute la journée sur le toit et aboie quand des gens passent à côté. D'autres petits chiens dans l'immeuble en face répondent par des aboiements permanents jusqu'à tard le soir. Leurs maîtres sont absents ou ne prêtent aucune attention aux nuisances occasionnées. Le propriétaire que nous avons contacté, nous a écrit que "c'était culturel" d'avoir un chien pour les résidents, sans intervenir auprès des voisins. L'un de nous deux a un chien chez lui et apprécie beaucoup les animaux, mais laisser des chiens seuls dans des petites cours pendant plus de 12 heures, je trouve cet aspect "culturel" un peu barbare.

Cute house in a great, quiet location. The patio was spacious, the kitchen well equipped for cooking and we had everything we needed. Comfortable bed. Reliable wi-fi.

My stay deserves 10/10 for several reasons : Luis, our host, met us when we arrived and showed us around the property. We exchanged smartphone details and we remained in contact for the duration of our stay and he was able to assist with 'tips' for the area and also to answer any questions regarding the property. I really appreciated this 'personal touch'. The kitchen was the best equipped of any property I have booked through Booking.Com. As we are self caterers there was nothing lacking and my son, who is an apprentice chef, was able to cook and serve up super meals using the local fresh fish and local ingredients of the area. The property was clean, tidy and well looked after. The property was conveniently located to central Olhao and the harbourside (a brisk walk will get you there in 10 minutes). It is situated in a quiet location. We enjoyed the peaceful courtyard at the back of the property which had plenty of tables, chairs and an outdoor shower. Overall the customer service and the small noticeable things (eg free WiFi, a personalised welcome card from our host,easy access,easy car parking,good location, excellent facilities, aircon in the rooms) deserve the rating and review I am giving. Thank you Luis and well done !

− I would be nit-picking to find fault with our stay and that would be the plastic coated mattress cover which seems to be standard in many properties and hotels these days; practical they are but personally I'm not a big fan of them. I will add this did not detract from our overall enthusiastic experience.

Everything about the property was excellent, from the cleanliness and comfort to the beautiful setting. It was well-equipped, tastefully decorated, and perfectly located for exploring Olhão. We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and how family-friendly it was. It truly felt like a home away from home. All was absolutely fantastic, and a big part of that was thanks to the incredible hospitality of Luís and Carla. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and it truly made our family stay unforgettable. We can't thank them enough and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!
