It was our first time in China and we were not disappointed with this apartment.

Lots of room for two people. The kitchen is well equipped. The lifts came quickly, we never had to wait long for the lift and it's only the 6th floor so the lift journey is quick. The balconies gave a great view over the central gardens. Super easy to get a taxi at the front gates, or rent an e-bike. The supermarket next to the entrance is well stocked and the restaurants on the other side of the road served excellent food. It's not in the centre of town but it's close to everything you need and if you want to go to the centre a taxi is super cheap and always available.

This location is exceptional for value - four bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, and kitchen with stove (two gas stovetops), working rice cooker, pots, bowls and plates, microwave, and small dining table. This is a great place for those who cook when traveling, as the supermarket is essentially downstairs, just outside of the gates of the housing complex. The unit includes two washing machines and a place to hang clothes to dry. It has both a traditional squat toilet and a western-style toilet. It is on the sixth floor of an elevator building with two elevators. The view is onto the surrounding buildings of the area and the courtyard. As this is in Kunming, Yunnan, it is usually at a comfortable temperature, at least when I stayed throughout the month of August (which was also rainy at times). I was able to arrange transportation to and from Kunming airport with the host of the property, who oriented me at the place and gave me the key fob for the building. All in all, a seamless experience.

− For those exploring Yunnan and Sichuan Provinces, this is not the most central location for accessing, for example, Kunming Nan Train Station (for bullet trains to cities around SW China), which is at least 45 minutes away by taxi, better part of an hour, especially given traffic (and at least 90 minutes away by metro). This location, while not on the periphery of the city, is not necessarily centrally located within Kunming. It is decently located with regard to a metro station, about a 10-20 minute walk from the property. I would also say that there are some aspects of the hygiene of the location that were not so great, like an odor in one of the bedrooms from I assume a previous guest who slept there, as well as some garbage in the vase in the living room. The WiFi speed is adequate, but not the fastest or best out there.

The location is convenient. Close to halal eatery. Walkable distance to train station (about 900m). Available shopping market on the ground floor of the building. Close to city centre

− Dangerous balcony with no lock especially for Children. Clogged sink and bathroom floor water drain. Also super slippery bathroom, very dangerous for elderly. Host should have put non-slippery mat.

Excellent accommodation that suited our family group very well.
