THE POSITIVES: The home was light, airy, and spacious. It was well equipped and had all the conveniences you would need to enjoy a few days away with friends. Great location to restaurants, bars, and cafés all within walking distance. Situated in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. We enjoyed the logburner ambiance.

− The standard of cleanliness was highly disappointing. The main picture glass in the living room had some sort of food grease smeared all over it. The rest of the windows were dirty and all covered in spiderwebs. Fortunately, there was glass cleaner available to give them a good clean on arrival. The interior felt in need of a good clean, dust, and wipe down. Before settling in, we had to vacuum the house to feel comfortable. The smell of the vacuum reminded me of a damp dirty dog. It appeared that the cleaning had been performed by the previous guests, and the property manager had only replaced the linen and made the beds. The lawns were overgrown when compared with the other homes in the neighborhood, and there was blackberry growing up through the decking. There are some maintenance issues with nails sticking out of the outdoor furniture and loose exterior house boards banging throughout the night in the wind. We fixed this by stacking rocks in front of it. Overall, it is a beautiful property that the owners have clearly invested wisely in. However, if you are going to expect guests checking out to perform your cleaning ready for your next guests, then the property manager should be checking and fixing up before next guests arrive. Not all people on holiday clean to the same standard.

− Re: Original Booking reference- 657C2-23-SA We write to report that we were unhappy with our stay on the first day of our stay at Mountain Revival as the bathroom and bedroom were flooded from the leaking toilet which resulted in us being moved to another property. The heating never worked in the living room and there were no heaters in the bedroom where we were shifted left us cold and shivering through the night We had booked this holiday for my wife's 40th as we had family over and we felt that with our 5 year old son it wasn't a great experience as expected. As you are aware the building manager visited the property and had to immediately turn the mains water off to the property as she feared further damage to the property we believe we should be reimbursed for the inconvenience caused. We were advised by your customer service team to email yourselves and I would be grateful if this could be looked into urgently. We look forward to hearing from you.
