10.0Spacious house, cozy, in a good location and close to Serra de Sintra and the surrounding beaches.
Very poor, unhealthy environment, not fit for habitation.
2.0We didn't stay long enough to try anything. The house is at the end of a cul-de-sac ? I suppose that's a good thing. It was easy enough to find the keys on arrival. It could be a nice house if the host cared for it.
− The property was completely overcome with black mould. It seems that nobody was looking after the house over winter and the heating had been turned off. Upon opening the front door there was an overpowering stench of mould. We had arrived very late in the evening and understandably, the host was not there to welcome us. I immediately sent a message to the host and she agreed to come over in the morning. I can honestly say that nearly every room was covered in black mould where the ceilings met the walls and around sealed windows. Even the instructional paper signs around the house were damp and mouldy. In some places you could see where water had come into the house through the outside wall. I had my family with me and didn't want to expose them to mould inhalation so we booked alternative accommodation and were gone by around 9AM. The host was not forthcoming with a refund of the nights we didn't stay so we have been forced to seek compensation through legal channels.
