Eco accommodation at it's best.

I love the eco accommodation and area. I stayed in the house truck last year (which was amazing btw) and wanted to try one of the eco homes. I stayed in the Tiny Greenie eco tiny home. Just fabulous! Modern, well-thought out, amazing view of Wainui beach area. Unfortunately there was a storm while I stayed, but I managed to use the outdoor bath before it really kicked in. It wasn't my first time using a compostable toilet, but my first time using an indoor one, and it's amazing! It was end of autumn, but good heat control in the home. Bed comfortable. Good shower. The kitchen area big, lots of storage, cooking facilities fantastic.

After a long day travelling, it was a very nice place to stay and relax. Very comfortable. Bath and view were exceptional. Very quiet. Well done.

Booked for the fact it had 2 beds. When we arrived only 1 bed was made and available to use. Other bed had no linen and there would be an extra charge for linen or a charge for using it without linen. Also wine glasses would have been nice.

A beautiful, comfortable and tranquil place to stay with fantastic views but with slightly challenging eco aspects.

The view was absolutely beautiful. The property was spacious and generally very comfortable with lovely furnishing. The glass frontage with sliding doors across the entire property was brilliant. The friendly Weka bird patrolling the grounds was great fun. It is a quiet and peaceful place to stay.

The property is at the top of a very steep hill with a long gravel road and hairpin bends which meant we could not go for walks from it without going down in the car. The washing machine and dryer were at the bottom of the hill and were really dirty. The BBQ had burnt on food and grease from previous occupiers. Whilst we are really keen on eco properties the composting toilet located within the property was unpleasant. It had little spiders coming out of it and at night the odd moth flew out. It smelt at times. We felt it should have been in an annex joined to the main building and not part of the building (which would also have avoided the need for all the instructions relating to it eg open a window if using the kitchen extractor hood because otherwise smells would be drawn out from the toilet). We didn’t like the microfibres towels.
