Loved that it was across the road from alma bayand the playground. Perfect for families. The townhouse was clean. Decent size for the money we paid. Loved that there were showers right outside out townhouse.

− Would be great if there was a dryer in the townhouse. Would have made it easier especially with kids. We ended up hiring a car which made it easy for us to lug our basket of clothes to the laundromat down the road.

Opposite Alma Bay, with views of a mountain to our right, the Acadia Hotel hidden behind a thick curtain of rainforest trees in front - the location was magical. Throw in the bus stops 50mtrs from our 2 storey accom and we had more than value: we had transport for $1 a day, each day, complete with resident bus drivers who explained, questioned, and humoured all customers. (Drivers' had amazing skills on island's narrow, winding roads!!!) Saw a number of animals in the wild, and watched a tane coad race with amusement. The only place where walking on roads as well as paths, no matter the time of day, did not bother the locals driving.

− Of course, we would have liked sunnier weather...but the unexpected cold snap did not deter us from walking, hiking trails, a swim or tea, or eating out.

Location was great. Close to transportation. Walking distance to beach and food. RSL had music pizzas & Thai . Seating under stars.

− Dinner theatre restaurant next door. Once finished drunks piled into street yelling screaming and yahooing whist waiting for bus. Also 2 buses continually pulling up hourly up to midnight. Gets a bit much.

Proximity to the beach

− Amenities poor. Well below standard of what we have ever rented. Refrigerator stopped working and we had to discard our food. Small back yard in state of disarray. Unfortunately there were storm water works going on out the front of unit. The noise was consistent and the dirt terrible. Very stressful.!!! It would have been appropriate to notify us of these works. We would have booked another apartment.

Awesome location, functional townhouse in need of a good thorough clean and some updating

Location was perfect! Hot water service amazing. Good air conditioning.

− The place needs a really thorough clean, was quite dirty. Also in need of some more functional/modern kitchen equipment. We were only given a single towel per person and a single tea towel for a 10-night stay. Be sure to BYO supplies like toilet paper, dishwashing detergent and soap as there is minimal provided.
