Great views, but a few things to tighten up on
5.0Amazing view of the valley. Nestled in the tree canopy meant that we were greeted with the sound of Tui and Kereru every morning. Such a peaceful location.
− Although we weren't there to watch TV, we were a bit miffed that the small TV didn't actually work. We are quite tech-savvy, so after trouble shooting, we determined that there was no power reaching the TV itself internally. We emailed bachcare and got no response so ended up ringing the 0800 number the next day. They sent the local bachcare agent around the next day (our day 3) to determine what we knew all along - that the TV was broken and will need to be replaced. Alongside this, one of the fans in the room (no aircon) was broken, and there were dirty dishes in the cupboards. I had to clean one of the fans before we could use it as it was caked in dust and dirt. We also woke up early on Day 2 with someone mowing the lawns ( the lawn was quite long when we got there). We are pretty easy going, but when there are several issues with accommodation priced at $500 a night, then that's not on.
