Sleepy Rural Charm
10.0As returning guests we were delighted to find that Railway Cottage had lost none of its inherent charm. The Cottage, standing alone at the end of a short private drive, half a mile to the south east of the sleepy village of Newtyle, provided an excellent touring base for exploring the Tayside region. The spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and exceptionally well appointed 3 bedroom cottage had all the amenities and more needed to make our stay special. Our host Karen was most charming with excellent communication throughout our stay, offering helpful suggestions on places to visit and things to do ! With adequate off road parking and excellent wifi in all areas we thoroughly enjoyed our return to this highly recommended Cottage.

9.0Great location, lovely cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Had some lovely sweet treats left for us as a welcome. Dog friendly.
− The only things that could be improved were the lock on the main bathroom didn’t work, and there could perhaps be a better selection of pans to use when staying in to cook.

Amazing cottage and hosts
10.0Railway Cottage provided a wonderful base to explore from while in Scotland. Easy to reach lots of different areas, plus lovely walks straight from the door. Karen was a lovely host - nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was dog friendly, clean, well stocked and had lots of helpful information about the local area. I cannot recommend Karen and this lovely cottage enough :)
