10.0The location was quiet and beautiful, John was so friendly and helpful with both check in and check out and it was a great place to use as a base for travelling around the island. I already had things booked to do, but he gave me some great recommendations for local eating and how to get around easily (I didn't have a car). This stay isn't in the tourist hotspots, which is exactly what I wanted, but it's still really easy to get around the island.
Brilliant. Our host John was so giving of his time to help us to have a wonderful time!

Peaceful central stay with very knowledgeable owners
10.0The property is very central to Pyrgos, a few minutes walk from restaurants, the square and the main road. It is also all on ground level, although there are a few steps up to the bedroom area. The Winery is a beautiful property, very quiet, a great place to relax. It’s also very safe, important as a solo traveller, behind security controlled gates. Plenty of parking and a nice outside area to enjoy your breakfast, glass of wine etc. I particularly liked the music system, which came with downloaded music to my taste (thanks to Flora’s father!) and the large portable fan - much preferable to the air conditioning especially at night. Fridge was stocked with beer, water, juice and there were croissants, jams, honeys etc all included. The kitchen was good - an oven, microwave and a dishwasher. Owner George sat with me and explained about the area, recommendations etc - he and wife Flora live on site so if there is a problem, or a question, they are nearby. They also arranged my transfer to the port by taxi but tbh next time I’d book a transfer through booking.com - it was much cheaper!
− There really isnt anything I didn’t like but The Winery doesn’t have a view (I did know this before booking) so for the sunset etc you will need to go up the 🔝 - the other rooms are on the first level and do have a better view. I would also like some mugs as well as the cups for breakfast coffee - but I’m sure if I’d asked Flora would have found one for me!

10.0Everything was perfect and beyond my expectations. This is truly the best place to stay in Pirgos – a stunningly beautiful location with the most wonderful hosts who go above and beyond!
