10.0Everything, from the moment of arrival to our goodbyes, was nothing short of perfect. Col. uncle sent us a list of restaurant recommendations & phone numbers of places that can deliver to our cottage. He also gave us details of things we could do around our stay & in Nainital. We had a minor hiccup regarding complimentary breakfast, as they do not provide this service anymore, but made the exception for us on our first morning cuz I hadn't known otherwise.

10.0Nestled in the hills and shrouded by the pristine pines, Whistling Thrush is a beautiful respite from reality. You wake up to a beautiful mornings heralded by the whistles of omnipresent birds and can have your morning cuppa sitting on the balcony overlooking nature's best. Sometimes you may find that you are literally in a cloud while sitting on the terrace. The homestay is well equipped with everything needed to make you comfortable. My 5 year old loved collecting all the pine needles strewn around and my 1 year old spent the days exploring bugs and flowers in the garden. The food cooked by Mrs. Ratna was like a warm hug in the cold hills. Even warmer was Col. Chauhan's hospitality. When we arrived before our check in time, they opened not only their hearts but also their home for us, made us so comfortable and guided us for our trip. Also they accommodated an early breakfast.These things go beyond the duties of their business.
