Wonderful property, lovely warm owners , 11/10
10.0Ive been to a lot of holiday lets over the years and for us personally this is right up there , if not the best value for money we've ever stayed in . Richard was there to greet us and showed us around , It had everything, a real home from home , a great well stocked kitchen breakfast / dining room to a comfortable bedroom / changing area with two comfortable chairs and coffee table , then up another floor to the sitting / tv room .. Outside there is comfortable outdoor furniture plus a table and chairs to eat at if you wished . It was lovely to sit there and watch the swallows darting about having fun . A great place to base yourself for a visit to the lakes . We met Jen , Richards wife who was also so lovely, and of course Teezle the dog who came to visit . Strongly recommended if I could score this 11out of 10 I would

10.0My husband and I enjoyed everything about this accommodation. It was clean and so well thought out for a barn, conversion and the age of this property. For us, it was perfect for exploring the lake District. Some of the roads were a bit challenging driving. Tiny narrow roads, but honestly, we had no trouble finding our way around using Google maps. We enjoyed the quiet country side surrounding the property. It was nice to wake up to only the sound of the birds, sheep, and nearby cows. Jane and Richard were perfect hosts. It was nice to arrive to a selection of tasty treats. Highly recommend a stay here.
A Stunning Hidden Gem !
9.0*Lovely welcome by hosts *Warm, quaint, beautifully restored byre, tastefully decorated & very well equipped and designed * Very homely yet had a feeling of a 'boutique hotel' * Good/beautiful out door space ( formal garden & country walks) * Easy access by car -to north Cumbria and the English Lake District
− * Caldbeck in the 'strapline ' of Booking.com's promotional information about this property is misleading...as the village of Caldbeck is several miles away and in reality only accessable by car or a long hike
This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.
