A delightful stay despite the extreme heat
9.0The cottage had everything we needed and were able to sit under the sweet chestnut tree for meals to keep cool during the hottest weather ever
− Directions to the cottage said next to old antique shop which now is no longer trading but it was very close to the pub and definitely wants approaching from Monmouth as the entrance very narrow with stone wall on left

9.0Very quiet. Lovely garden. Great for getting to Nagshead and our planned walks. Property was clean and well equipped. We would love to stay again.

9.0Great location for our daily explorations of the area. The cottage was spacious and well equipped which was amazing. The space was quite comfortable and reasonably decorated.
− We found the stairs a little steep and beds not the most comfortable however, I appreciate it is hard to accommodate for everyone. The cottage could have done with a fan as it was quite hot inside despite closing windows and shutting the curtains etc. Wish the garden could have been more enclosed by putting a fence on the front or something as we found it challenging to keep an eye out on both dogs XD
Excellent!!! Wood burner was a bonus.
10.0Location was excellent for woodland walks and access to local villages. Village pub 200 metres away.
