Nice conversion of a quirky railway building but accommodation is pretty basic

5.0

Location, downstairs layout

Faulty loo, uncomfortable beds, poor quality, synthetic duvet, pillows and bed linen, scratched non-stick frying pans, stiff shower controls upstairs

A wonderful stay with the excitement of trains passing

10.0

The property was excellent. The pictures don’t do it justice. We had a lovely stay and it was exciting whenever the trains passed. The grounds are extremely well kept too.

A cottage with a difference

10.0

A great stay in a very comfortable and very well equipped cottage. The location is excellent for exploring the area and we enjoyed the quirkiness of being right next to the rail line. You quickly get used to the passing trains. It’s really interesting reading about the history of the site and the dedication put into restoring and developing it

Great little place in a wonderful location. My toddler absolutely loved watching the trains go by!
