Perfect location, free parking and good food options nearby
7.0The location of the cottage is perfect, in the centre of Rothbury and within very short walking distances to shops, pubs and restaurants. It's also just 5-10 minutes by car to Cragside, one of our main reasons for choosing it. Although we had a couple of minor issues when we checked in, the host was great and resolved them very quickly.
− Unfortunately, we didn't sleep well because the bed was too soft, which of course is the most important thing we need from any accommodation. If it had a more comfortable bed, we would have given it a higher rating.

10.0Loved quirkiness and facilities of accommodation. Location is perfect. Lovely additional touches from host. Clean and fresh. I was a bit worried as I am allergic to dogs, but there was no smell or residue from it being a dog friendly accommodation.
− Sofa bed. A proper bed would be much more comfortable. Slightly on expensive side but we thought it was worth it. Be aware of height restrictions in bedroom (attic space), but this is clear in description. Above are observations, certainly not criticism.

10.0Great cosy cottage, very well situated in the heart of Rothbury with super dog walks a few yards away. Clean and well maintained with everything needed for a weekend getaway

8.0Nice and cosy. A well equipped kitchen which we liked. The place was also very clean. Highly recommended.
− Had trouble with the WiFi. It was unstable, frequently going off line which in turn interrupted our streaming viewing experience. Owner had switched provider without realising that it would affect us. Bed mattress was too soft to our liking.
