The location is excellent if you are looking for peace, privacy, and an impressive, fragrant garden full of lush plants and wonderful trees like lemons and oranges—a true delight. Fani was incredibly helpful and always available whenever we needed anything! Please note that you will need a car to get around; Gytheio is just a 10-minute drive away.The beach is just a 5-minute walk away, though the hill is quite steep and you do have to cross a main road. The small cove is extraordinary, with clean water, fine sand, a gentle slope, and calm waves, making it a paradise for children. You can use the sunbeds from the neighboring beach bar in exchange for buying a cold drink, or you can just sit directly on the sand.Inside, the house is very comfortable and well-designed. It has all the necessary amenities and is spacious enough. The kitchen is fully equipped and feels like a real home kitchen, not a basic camping one; I highly appreciated the 4-burner stove and the dishwasher. While the bathroom isn't spectacular, it is spacious, functional, and the shower water pressure is absolutely incredible.However, the best part of this house is the terrace. Spending my mornings and evenings on the spacious, shaded stone terrace, feeling the breeze and admiring the sea, was the absolute highlight of my vacation. I loved everything about this stay, and it will be very hard to top it next year!

− More like inside tips and practical info for future guests:Parking tip: The designated parking spot is quite tight, but you can easily park right next to the villa since it is located on a very quiet, non-busy street.Local tip: There is a traditional street market in Gytheio every Friday. Don't miss it, as you can find all kinds of delicious local treats and fresh products!Bug advice: Because of the beautiful, dense garden, all kinds of biting bugs managed to get inside and trouble us, even though there are insect screens on all windows. Make sure to bring a good mosquito spray and a general insect repellent to spray around the screens.

Die Terrasse bietet einen wunderschönen Blick aufs Meer und den Ort Gythio. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Man benötigt ein Auto um den Einkauf zu erledigen und auch wenn man mal Essengehen möchte. Die Taverne fussläufig war geschlossen Anfang Juni. Der Garten, der das Haus umgibt ist ein Paradies.

− Die erwähnte Grillstelle war für uns nicht benutzbar wird aber jetzt wieder hergestellt. Die Elektrik ist labil, ständig flog die Sicherung raus, obwohl wir außer der Beleuchtung und der Spülmaschine keine Elektrizität genutzt haben. Das Bad ist in die Jahre gekommen. Uns hat das nicht weiter gestört.

Cozy, perfectly located, fully equipped, well-maintained, spotless clean house with a spacious terrace and patio surrounded by the marvelous garden. Excellent communication with hosts. 5-minute drive to a sandy beach, 10-minute drive to Gytheio city with a supermarket, bakeries, shops and taverns. There are many interesting sightseeing destinations in the area within 1 hour drive. If you are looking to recharge your batteries in tranquil environment a bit off the beaten path, this is a distinct place to go. It exceeded all our expectations.

Quiet and relaxing.

Amanda is a pleasant house located on a big terrain (about 1500 m2) on a slope. The house is well constructed and has a high roof (inside is wood). It has a big, pleasant garden with different terraces, many different trees, plants and flowers. The place is very quiet as it is about 150 metres from the road on a slope. You can sit outside and enjoy the view over the sea and the singing birds. The house is about 10 minutes walking to a small, shallow beach. One can also walk one kilometre over a larger beach towards the real good restaurant on Glyfada Beach. There are some possibilities to hike inland over small country roads. The host/owner is very friendly.

− The nearest shops are in Gytheio, about 7 km. away from Amanda. If you are not coming by car it is best to do shopping first and then take a taxi to Amanda. There is only one restaurant around, on Glyfada Beach - two other restaurants appear to be closed (at this time of the year (May) or permanently?)
