Mold.

1.0

Unfortunately, I was unable to stay at the property.

There was a mildewy scent upon entering the home. It was strong until we entered the kitchen area, which looked to be recently renovated. The main bedroom was okay as one of the light bulbs had gone out so it was half lit. While they had lamps on either side of the bed, the outlet plugs in the front half of the house did not work, which also meant we had no Wi-Fi. We decided to switch to the bedroom at the back of the house only to find the sheet has some stain and hair on it. While deciding whether it was worth it to stay, we happened upon what was clearly mold from the outlets plugs in the bedroom next to the kitchen and some on the walls. After that me and my boyfriend made the decision to find a hotel instead as we didn't want to sleep in a place with mold on the walls. I was supposed to stay in Birmingham till Saturday but ended up leaving Friday as we had to book another place last minute. I've reached out to the owners which seemed like it was going somewhere, but after my "stay", I have yet to hear anything more on getting any sort of refund.

Good experience

Clean. Location good. Quiet.

Pictures showed a bbq grill. But there was not one. Grass needed to be mowed. Large hornets nest at the back door. Bathroom floor looked dirty.

Excellent.

We love this house. I am obsessed with old houses, this is just beautiful. This is a veteran owned home, we are a Military family, I loved walking in and seeing the flag folded on the mantel. Very clean, it was spotless. The bed was very comfortable, I have severe back issues and I slept like a baby for the first time in a long time. Just a cozy home with that family vibe. If we are ever in this area again we will stay here. The host was very responsive, and super nice.

The only thing I can say, and it’s not really negative because we got used ti it was the train tracks. Definitely not a big deal.
