Terribly disappointing!

The home was clean and comfortable inside. Spacious, had all the amenities for kitchen use.

− We were moved to this location after an overbooking. We chose a lake view for a 50th celebration but were moved to the canal view 5 days prior to our trip. The outside was dated and not comfortable. Multiple cats roaming, Add states bike use but there were none. Broken glass on ground outside, after the rain the house had a strong odor of sewage, no umbrella for shade at the Patio table, pour communication with the host after she told us we had to move to her second property. Horrible communication with booking to get reimbursed the difference as the new property was more money. They put the difference in a booking wallet that I have to use on a future booking. Hours spent on hold to try and resolve this. Still not resolved. If it was the guest cancelling last minute we would be out the money but the host convinced us to stay at the second location for nothing more then the same price, but I'm actually down 250. We made the best of it, but the view is why I booked the first location months in advance and had to take 2nd as we would not have had any where. The host wanted too make more money by renting for a longer period and that's why we were told we couldn't stay. I was embarrassed by this property. Spent most of our time outside sitting on weathered old chairs. Nothing comfortable about anything. So disappointed with no compensation offered. The host just stopped answering any of my questions.

We absolutely loved this house! Cedar Island is super sweet - some lovely neighbors to great you and have a chat. The proximity to the lake can't be beat!. We were in the water most of the day. We also loved the side yard for our dog. The kitchen is well-stocked and the beds were very comfy. We walked to the nearby bakery each day (10 min walk) - the strawberry pie was amazing!

When we arrived on the island at our cottage. We immediately felt welcomed by our host Jamie and Terry. They were very informative of things on and off the island. We can't wait to return, as it was all we were hoping for and more. The cottage itself clean, comfortable and had all comforts of home.

− There was nothing we didn't enjoy about our stay at Cedar Island, except we ha to leave.

Bring binoculars! Tons of wildlife to watch and relax

Our host Jamie was exceptional!!! We couldn't recommend this place enough, spacious, great location, clean with super natural light. She was extremely helpful, making our stay very relaxing. Thank you!!

− The back dorm has no instructions to locate the light switch, which is behind a dresser. It was difficult to see the room when we arrived very late at night the first day. Jamie was great and showed it to us the very next morning.

Clean, spacious, kindly host, fabulous location- definitely would stay again!

Excellent location, enormous living area, helpful host!

− We were warned in the agreement that the back room could flood, but though it wasn’t flooding, there was a puddle on the floor in back room. We only needed two bedrooms, so that wasn’t a problem. However, if we did need 3, there might be some concern with the back room. The living room was so enormous with tons of couches/seating so someone could easily have bunked in there if the 3rd room had issues. I would definitely stay again.
