A wonderful family getaway — highly recommended
10.0A real home from home from the moment we arrived. Mike had left a welcome pack with bread and milk which was such a thoughtful touch and really set the tone for the stay. We had requested stair gates in advance for our toddler and Mike had everything in place — he was upfront about one gate that had broken and apologised, which we appreciated. We managed around it no problem. The front and back gardens were really secure which gave us great peace of mind with a little one running around. The location is excellent — on a quiet side street but only a short walk to the main street and seafront. Perfect base for exploring Newcastle and the Mournes. The hot tub was an absolute highlight — a lovely way to unwind in the evenings. The shower was also great, with brilliant water pressure. Overall a fantastic stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mourne Seaside House. Thanks Mike!
− Only very minor points — cleaning supplies were a little limited for a family stay with a toddler. A dustpan and brush mentioned in the listing wasn't available and the handheld hoover was tricky to use, so we ended up picking up a few bits ourselves. Extra toilet roll for a longer stay would also be a handy addition. Nothing that impacted the overall experience, just small things worth noting for future guests.

− The only thing that I would say is out the bk could be more private as when cocos was open the kids could see right into the back garden
