Spacious but very tired with incredibly uncomfortable beds
4.0− Incredibly uncomfortable beds that you could feel the springs through. The sofas were old and tired and the cushions just collapsed when you sat down. Not sure the owners read the reviews, wish I had but this seems to be a common complaint. Given what they charge, a decent nights sleep is not an unrealistic expecation!
Ideal base for steep coastal footpath walking with a dog.
8.0Clean, modern heating and plenty of hot water. Nice views to the north/west across the dart estuary to haytor. Hotel quality sheets/towels. Dog friendly as most people seemed to have dogs who were very playful & friendly. Great pubs/shop and ferry to Greenway was fun.
− Smoke alarms kept beeping 24/7. Front ground floor door needs a privacy blind as it faces the bathroom. Plug in kitchen sink needs replacing. Children in adjoining property got up early & floorboards are really noisy but in Easter school holidays it was to be expected.
Good overall . Nice place nice area . Could do with modernising . Need better mattresses . Oven and grill not too clean
