Beautiful location, property needs some tlc
7.0Beautiful location Comfortable beds
− Needs some TLC - shower head not properly attached, gardens needed a tidy, smelt damp - not particularly clean eg very dusty skirtings etc Light fittings not working Communication justifies the 4pm checkin by citing high standards of cleaning & prep. This was not the case
Incredible location, and sweet cottage, just needs a bit of investment to make it truly special.
7.0Brilliant location, just a stone's throw from the pontoon at Dittisham meaning that popping back from the beach to dry children or pick up forgotten sun cream was a piece of cake. Fantastic front and back terraces from which you could see the river and enjoy the sunshine. Pretty and characterful cottage. Leave the car parked for the duration of your stay and rely on the regular ferries to Galmpton, Dartmouth and Totnes.
− It was a lovely old cottage, but this came with a few issues: the property wasn't property aired and it was very damp when we arrived despite the sunshine. The electric circuits could do with a review - in particular the kitchen lights were quite unpredictable and difficult to turn off. The bedroom curtains were pretty but incredibly thin, meaning my children woke up with the sun (unfortunately rather earlier than we might have hoped) - I'd recommend travel black out blinds if this might be an issue for you.
beautiful surrounding with lovely walks and places to visit but spoilt from lack of sleep and aches
6.0location, view from patio
− the cottage was cold in the evenings as it was on storage heating, and uncomfortably hot in the bedrooms in the mornings, towel rail didn’t work in bathroom.Double bed extremely uncomfortable which led to sleepless nights leaving us with back&joint aches. Think it’s in need of a new mattress. Noisy door latches on bedrooms which would disturb everyone else sleeping noise from workmen, construction starting at 8am on the next door houses, drilling through the walls, also deliveries to FBI pub before 7am. It was good to get home for a good nights sleep
Great views of river close to pub in charming village
7.0Fantastic village and views of the river
− Parking away from cottage made access a little tricky
