Appena arrivati ammetto di essere rimasta molto perplessa. La struttura si trova in una parte del paese circondata da case abbandonate e/o crollate però dopo il primo impatto le cose sono migliorate e mi è dispiaciuto lasciare la tranquillità di Karidi e i suoi gatti. La casa è una vecchia costruzione in sassi ristrutturata, noi abbiamo fatto solo colazione a casa, la cucina l'abbiamo usata poco così come il patio perché abbiamo incontrato due giorni su tre di vento forte, peccato.

− A causa del vento c'era qualcosa che si muoveva sul tetto ed era parecchio fastidioso, la terza notte, senza vento, è stata molto tranquilla. Il letto matrimoniale non è comodissimo. La doccia non ha l'asta quindi bisogna tenere il doccino in mano, inoltre la doccia ha solo un muretto basso laterale e si bagna parecchio fuori.

Η τοποθεσία του καταλύματος είναι εξαιρετική, σε μια γειτονιά με ιστορία, την οποία την βλέπεις σε κάθε γωνιά. Πολύ ήσυχο χωριό, με τις γάτες της γειτονιάς για παρέα και τους γυπαετούς να κάνουν βόλτες πάνω από τα κεφάλια μας. Ο οικοδεσπότης πολύ βοηθητικός, ανοιχτόκαρδος και γεναιόδωρος.

− Τις μέρες που μείναμε είχε πάρα πολύ αέρα για να περιηγηθούμε περισσότερο στα γύρω μέρη, αλλά έτσι περάσαμε περισσότερο χρόνο στο χωριό και περιηγηθήκαμε στα σοκάκια του και τους γύρω αγροτικούς δρόμους.

Very quiet village, excellent location, at the centre of Lasithi. Property ideal for two people, who want tranquillity in their holidays, there are more cats than humans, which is a bonus. Cool climate even during summer, temperature 22-25 during the night.

Very silent and private place

At first, privacy is very important to me and my wife. So this place has 120 (ore more) percent in this aspect. However, you need car to reach it (in Crete without car is very difficult to have good vacations). You can reach it by asphalted way, but you need drive carefully. Nearest best beach is Alona beach (in Kato Zakros village are a lot of taverns). Secondly, this house is in the mountain. So, there is very good pure atmosphere. Thirdly, house has all amenities, except drinking water. Wifi is normal, good hot water system, there is no air condintioning system (but it is not needed). If it is cold, you may use electric heater. Fourthly, master is very attentive and unobtrusive (this is related to the first point (privacy)).

Everything was beyond perfect. The best place for quiet holidays to get out of city rush and relax. It is a paradise. Very beautiful house with everything we needed and great location.
