You get what you pay for - a traditional Thai house in the jungle. The bathroom is open, with no windows, but still private. There is a pretty garden inside. Natural bananas grow next to your terrace and a river is running 24/7, giving the feeling that it is raining outside. It was unforgettable. We cannot miss to mention the great host and his dog - both adorable.

Wonderful location immersed in nature and walking distance to cave temples and restaurants. Very clean room with open air bathroom and outdoor areas to enjoy nature views and stars. The host Manus went above and beyond ensuring my daughter and I experienced Chiang Dao to its fullest. He took us to try local cuisine, shared temples, waterfalls, and hot springs to visit, lent out his scooter and even came to our rescue when we had a flat tire or got lost. The rainy season welcomed mosquitoes, but the room was bug free and had AC too. There was also a washing machine so we could do laundry.

Это был самый потрясающий опыт за все наше текущее путешествие по северу страны. Хозяева были очень приветливы и доброжелательны. Отличная атмосфера тайского жилья, у нас был собственный дом с маленькой кухней на улице и террасой с замечательным видом на гору. В двух километрах от дома чудесная пещера и совсем недалеко красивый храмовый комплекс. Мы отдохнули душой и телом в этом чудесном месте. Спасибо большое!

Great place to stay

The host, Mr Manos is very friendly and informative. He will discuss with us every morning at breakfast where we should go for the day, and he gave excellent advise. Most of the places we went were off the beaten tourist track and we loved it. The room was large, rustic, clean and spacious.

− The weather is hot during the day and gets very cool during the night and early morning. As the bathroom was semi open, the water heater was not hot enough for us to shower at night or in the morning. We had to planned our trips to return to the property when the weather is still hot enough for a shower then head out again for dinner. This was not a problem for us as we needed a rest after the day out anyway.

A wonderful and unique place to stay. A comfortable, locally styled cottage offering pleasant privacy. Beautiful grounds. Delicious and varied breakfast, individually prepared. A very friendly and dedicated, yet unobtrusive host. A Toyota engineer from Bangkok who retired there and for whom it is clearly a heartfelt wish to ensure his guests have a wonderful time. We didn't take full advantage of his tips and knowledge, as we were at the end of our tour and were looking for a few quiet days.

− Unfortunately, the narrow road in front of the property is surprisingly noisy from just before sunrise, and the noise is quite noticeable inside the cottage. We needed earplugs to sleep past sunrise. The cottage has a few cracks and holes through which insects can get in. This wasn't a problem for us, as there weren't many insects at the time. Perhaps the two lovely house geckos also helped protect us.
