Just wonderful! A perfect stay for 8 of us. The house was just perfect in every way.

Wonderful large bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, so perfect for our group. Perfect kitchen with everything needed for a group of 8.

− It was too hot as the heaters were on all of the time. We had to open the windows to cool off.

Sam was amazing. When we arrived 7 hours earlier than expected because of the rescheduling of the ferry from Kennacraig, she managed to arrange for us to check in at 11am instead of 3pm. Thank you to the lovely person who went out of their way to ensure the house was ready for us. Throughout our stay, Sam and the team were very responsive to our queries about the property. We never felt that we had no one to turn to if we had an issue or problem. Rain or shine, the location and natural landscape around the property was breath taking and forever changing with the weather. The kitchen was well equipped and the appliances were high end (I wanted to take the sophisticated, flexi zone induction hob home with me!!!). We also loved the dining space in the kitchen where we hosted our convivial meal times. All the bedrooms were comfortable and had ensuite showers but the plus point for me was the separate bathroom with the deep, luxurious bath tub ... such a rare thing these days. If you plan on flying to Islay, this house is just down the road from the airport. This suited us perfectly as my son and his girlfriend needed to fly back to London (via Glasgow) at the end of our stay at Machrie View.

House was stunning, every room was decorated beautifully, it had all the facilities you need including fast WiFi and smart tv. The terrace was great for enjoying an afternoon in the sun. The kitchen is huge and is fully kitted out. Location is remote but has excellent road links and ample parking. There were taxi numbers provided by the host.

− We had to buy bin bags and kitchen roll, minor points but would have been great to have them provided seeing as we were responsible for keeping the place clean.

Great House, beautiful view over the bay. Located at the end of the runway of Islay Airport. Very comfortable stay, nothing to complaint at all.
