Super little escape.

10.0

Lovely comfortable little cottage in a peaceful and scenic location , top end appliances and everything you need for a short stay. A short drive into Whitchurch which is a lovely place with plenty of shops etc. Cracking pubs to . Another pub / eatery we stubbled across was the dusty miller on the canal at Wrenbury where the food was delicious.

Only small point to make is the lack of a covered seating area outside the cottage which would of made our stay even more enjoyable.

Could quite happily live here

10.0

Photos need updating as everything exceeded our expectations. From the comfy garden furniture to the sofa, the dining chairs which hugged your back and the bed which was of exceptional quality and so comfortable. The shower, fire, and kitchen appliances all high end spec. We could not find one fault if we tried, by far the nicest place we have ever stayed for a self catering break. The lockside cafe at Grindley lock is a must and the horse & jockey nearby. Both dog friendly. I could of lived here quite happily and sad to go home.

There was nothing to dislike and nothing to complain about. Just perfect.

Not private enough for us but lovely location

7.0

Location - it was in the country in the beautiful county of Shropshire. Lots of walking opportunities up and down the canal (although closed before Whitchurch due to the nationally reported canal collapse), across the fields, and through the nearby Mosses. We didn’t meet the owners - which was unusual but fine as we knew where they were if we needed them. Shower was good and sofa, armchairs and bed good quality and comfortable.

The garden, although very usefully enclosed by fencing, was a small patch of grass and then gravelled parking and this all at the front immediately adjacent to the campsite - no privacy at all. Cottage was bijou - things felt a little tight at times and the sink in the shower room was too small to wash at until we’d worked out we needed to approach it side on!

It was good enough for what we wanted.

It was safe for our dog and there was no upstairs. It was quiet and the outlook was nice. The bed was very comfy.

There were a lot of big spiders and webs in the bedroom. Had to wash cutlery and crockery. Too much unnecessary furniture in property.
