8.0The lock box was easy to access and code provided well in advance. The views were amazing! Great location, easy walk to the ferry and the ferry was so easy to catch to Whitianga and back, hugely convenient. Easy access to the beach and several nature walks in the area, Cooks beach only a 25 minute walk to the convenience store and 3 resturants. So much to do in the area and all at walking distance. Lots of sleeping options, beds were comfy and linen good. More towels would be a nice touch. Kitchen was so well equipped with utensils, condiments etc. We cooked every night. A lock up garage was a bonus.
− Airing the place out more regularly, the musty smell was so strong, we managed to get rid of it upstairs after a couple of days but downstairs hung around. For this reason, while I can overlook the older age of the property (some updates have been done), and the views made up for it, I wouldn't class the property as value for money considering some of the other more superb places we have stayed in NZ for less $$$.
