The floor plan of the house is excellent—very spacious, and the furnishings and decor are comfortable and well thought out. We especially loved that the front door uses a code lock, so there’s no need for keys. There is a large dining table where everyone can sit together after dinner, chat, and relax—it’s a very comfortable and welcoming space. It is very close to Joshua Tree National Park, which makes it a great location. We also really enjoyed the pickleball court. Overall, the vacation home matched the photos shown online.

− The kitchen range hood was broken, the induction cooktop in the casita was not working, and the jacuzzi in the master bedroom was also out of order. When we discovered these issues, we contacted the host. He replied politely, saying that he was still waiting for parts, which was a bit disappointing. Aren’t these things supposed to be checked and confirmed to be in working order before guests arrive? Then the host went on to say that he could offer us compensation, but asked if we could avoid writing a negative review. This is something I find very unacceptable.

I like that this place is kid friendly and large enough to sleep / accommodate a lot of people. We were looking to stargaze in the desert for the weekend, with the comfort of home amenities, and this house allowed us to do just that. The owners were very nice and answered all our questions prior to our trip and during our stay. This was a nice weekend getaway for me and my family. I would book here again.

This place is way larger than the photos. Super nice with tons to do on the property!

We really enjoyed the peaceful location, and wonderful views. Fun to play outdoor games. Good communication with host.

Absolutely amazing stay! Zack and Bex were SO attentive, anytime I had a question they responded immediately. It’s a fantastic property, we had a family w/small children staying in the Casita and a group of adults in the main house. We played bocci, pickleball, and cornhole, and hung out in the hot tub too; all the supplies were onsite and in great condition. We cooked in the kitchen and used the outdoor grill, again all the supplies were provided and everything was in working order. The house was as clean and had all the amenities we needed. A couple of guests brought their gaming consoles and we were able to hook them up to the tv, no problem. The outdoor fire pit is great for night time hangouts and roasting s’mores. The Mystic Lounge is totally a fun hangout too, but it was a little too windy at night for us to stay. This house is so close to Joshua Tree National Park, as well as fun local shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. The skate park is just down the street and if we had our decks we would have checked it out, something for next time. It’s a really good location and the sunsets are absolutely stunning. I would totally recommend the Sapphire Haven, especially if you are visiting Joshua Tree, love the outdoors, or are looking for a desert oasis to relax and unwind.

− The drive to the property can be a little sketchy if you are arriving for the first time at night. Sapphire Haven signs are clearly posted at every turn, just look out for them. Follow the directions Zack and Bex provide and you’ll be fine. Also the property IS out in the desert. Free WiFi is available, but can be slow. We all just used our data plans and it was not a problem.
