1.0The room was clean. The garden was pretty.
− The pictures masterfully conceal the fact that the Ekali-haus is neither an independent accommodation unit, nor a house. In reality, the garden is shared with the huge building where the owners live, and the Ekali-haus is nothing more than a shed or a storage unit that has been turned into a room. In fact, the room is so small that even the kitchen and the fridge are outside. On the last day, the owner entered the room before check-out time and cleared the room of my stuff. When I confronted him, he burst into shouting, telling me that I am even worse than the Bulgarians and the Romanians and that I should GET OUT of his house and his country. He even approached me threatening physical violence. Avoid it at all costs, or at least know what to expect.
