New Forest gem with morning visits from horses and ponies. Excellent host with great communication.

Just had 5 nights at Thatch Cottage. A fantastic base for the New Forest. The owner has provided everything you need for a stay, well equipped kitchen , so much information provided on local eateries and things to do. Lovely garden with outside furniture… we had breakfast outside every day. Nothing can be faulted. Read the details of the property before you go… a 200 year old cottage with its quirks and low ceilings… you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful Cottage and lovely stay

We had a lovely short stay at the Cottage. It is beautifully situated within the Forest, making it really easy to go to other destinations. The facilities are excellent, they've thought of literally everything and the garden was such a bonus in the nice weather. We had a fab time.

Really enjoyable. A great base in the New Forest.

The location was absolutely perfect. Our neighbours were ponies. 200 yds from the pub and 50 yds from the community shop which was excellent.

− Being nearly 80 year olds the stairs were a bit challenging but we were warned.

Wonderful location, with morning visits from donkeys and ponies. Superb communication from Sam the owner and the cottage is lovely and clean. It’s our second visit and just as good as the first 3 years ago.

− There’s nothing to dislike. Maybe only a slightly later check out so we could spend more time there lol.
