The location was ideal, peaceful and tranquil. Excellent night's sleep every night even in the heat. Perfect for visiting other parts of Wales. Lots of choices for places to eat and the food was good. One Hundred House Inn did a great meat skewer dish with creamed spinach and apple and mushroom salad in a sauce and no flies (see below). Our cottage, Tynacol , had a hot tub - lovely! There was a spacious well equipped kitchen, comfortable seating in the sitting room. Some lovely Welsh cakes were provided along with milk and tea and coffee. Plenty of loo paper and excellent cleanliness. We all absolutely LOVED it. Very relaxing holiday. We would all go again. Our hosts were charming and very helpful advising us on places to go with the result we saw things we would have missed that weren't on any leaflets. Delightful stay.

Only drawback was that the hot weather brought out the flies. We cured that by hanging up some fly papers and buying a spray. The Prince Llewelyn pub was invaded by flies and they were constantly landing on our food, with the result we only ate there once even though the food was very good - it was a shame. The cottage had very creaky floors upstairs but even that didn't spoil our stay.
